CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

PRE DANCE 8 WEEK SESSION (Ages 3-6).  Tuesdays 6:30-7:30

Session 1: Jan 25-March 15
Session 2: March 29-May 17

This class is designed for our first time younger dancers who are ready to skip, gallop, stretch, wiggle and giggle! Basic ballet positions will be introduced as well as basic fundamentals of jazz. The class focuses on basic movements that help teach rhythm, right & left, counting, shapes, and sharing. A portion of the class also allows dancers to be able to freely experience their own moving body and find joy in dancing! This class is a wonderful introduction to a basic classroom structure in a fun and nurturing environment.
Students will need: dance attire (leo, tights) and pink ballet shoes *We recommend TRANSITION tights so they can slip their feet out easily for the jazz portion.

BEGINNER HIP HOP 8 WEEK SESSION (Ages 6-11)  Tuesdays 5:30-6:30

Session 1: Jan 25-March 15
Session 2: March 29-May 17

This class for beginners specifically focuses on developing rhythm and coordination while encouraging individual style. Dancers will get a basic introduction to hip hop that will include hip hop technique, choreography and of course freestyle improvisation! They will have a blast dancing to age appropriate music and moves for our younger dancers!
Students will need: comfortable clothes easy to move in and sneakers
