STUDIO DRESS CODE: Please take note of the dress code outlined in this memo:
Pre-dance and Next Step: Female dancers may wear a leotard and tights, with the option of wearing a skirt attached to the leotard as long as it does not distract the other dancers. The skirt should be above the knee. Our recommendation would be to go for transition tights that feature a foot cut-out, making it effortless to slip them off. Pink ballet shoes are required, and black tap shoes are needed for Pre-dance. Male dancers must wear a T-shirt and shorts with black ballet shoes.
For Ballet Classes from beginner to advanced: Female dancers must wear a black leotard with pink tights and keep their hair in a neat ballet bun. It's advised to avoid wearing sports bras or jewelry and not to wear eyeglasses unless it's necessary. Male dancers should wear a white leotard or a plain white t-shirt tucked into black tights, along with black ballet shoes. This is the standard dress code for ballet dancers.
Tap and Jazz classes - comfortable attire facilitating movement is mandatory. For Tap, black tap shoes are necessary, while for Jazz, bare feet are required.
Hip Hop classes - it's necessary to wear comfortable clothing such as loose shirts, sweatpants, or loose-fitting shorts. Don't forget to put on a pair of sneakers to complete your look.
Tumbling/Acro classes - it is important to wear tight-fitting clothing such as a leotard or sports bra and shorts. This is necessary to ensure safety during the class.
It is important for dancers to adhere to studio dress codes as it allows teachers to assess their alignment and positioning, correct any errors, and provide proper training. Additionally, following dress codes promotes uniformity among dancers and aids in maintaining discipline and focus.
