The Pulse
At Vibe, we take pride in being the home of The Pulse Competition Team! The Pulse is a renowned company of dancers who have auditioned to join the prestigious and award-winning "Pulse Competition Team." Dancers of ages ranging from 4 to 19 come together as a team to inspire, support, and grow together as a unique and excellent company.
The company dancers are grouped according to their ability and focus on various aspects of dance such as technique, style, stage presence, team building skills, positive attitude, and, most importantly, having fun! The Pulse team has won many prestigious awards at both regional and national levels for ten years now. We are proud to have been invited to perform at the Washington Wizards, University of Maryland, and Mt. St. Mary's basketball games.
We have won many top honors, such as the Best Choreographer Award, Overall Highest Scoring Studio Award, Top Regional High Score Award, National Student Choreographer of the Year Award, Countless Miss Dance Titles, The ADCC Award, Best of Show Award, Emotional Execution Award, Technique Award, Best Partnering Award, Creative Concept Awards, and many more!
After graduation, many of our Vibe alums pursue their dance dreams in NYC, dance for their college dance teams, and continue to work in the industry, either dancing or teaching. Our students have gone on to be cast in major TV awards shows, signed with Wilhelmina Talent Agency, received scholarships, and earned prodigy spots to the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC and Miami, Broadway Dance Center, The Artistic Dance Exchange, World Dance Pageant, and were invited to top mentorship programs. Several Pulse dancers have also earned the prestigious Elite Dancer Award and the opportunity to tour with top dancers in the industry.
All members of The Pulse team participate in rewarding community performances, exciting dance competitions, and our end-of-the-year showcase. Pulse company members receive specialized training and unique opportunities to enjoy the art of dance that the average dancer may never experience. Regardless of your level of dance ability, joining The Pulse and participating in this class and the entire Pulse program is a rewarding experience for all involved.
Pulse Performance Company members mandatory events:
3 regional competitions
1 regional convention
*Several other optional competitions/conventions are available for those who want to do more
*We try very hard to make the competitions and convention be within driving distance and/or only a one night stay over.
*Attendance at all other performances done by the “The Pulse” is desirable but not mandatory.
Summer Intensive is required if auditioning for "The Pulse". Class times vary based on level. Contact us if you need assistance determining your level.
