DISCLOSURE: If you were a member of The Pulse Performance Company in the previous dance year you are required to sign this to be considered for this year’s Pulse team. Should Vibe make the decision to not offer you a spot in The Pulse you will be refunded your $100 fee. Otherwise the fee is non refundable.

Congratulations on making the commitment to audition for The Pulse Performance Company at Vibe Performing Arts! Being a part of The Pulse is a very rewarding experience that will not only help you grow as a dancer but as a person. We are excited for you!
COMMITMENT FEE
Auditions are held during our Summer Intensive week, the first full week in August. Attendance is mandatory if you want to audition for The Pulse. Prior to Summer Intensive you are required to submit this agreement and your $100 commitment fee per dancer which is only refundable if Vibe does not offer you a spot on our team.

WHY WE REQUIRE A COMMITMENT FEE BEFORE AUDITIONS …         During auditions we group dancers together to form routines for competitions. Even one person dropping AFTER that is done makes a very big impact on the group and the decisions we have made. It is very important that you are auditioning for The Pulse because of your love of dance and not just to be in a certain group. If that occurs there is then extra work put on our staff to regroup or re-plan. If you are offered a solo or duo/trio routine when you pay your fee, your teacher will know she can start private lessons with the dancer.
If you have been offered a solo or duo routine, please list the choreographer’s name that you were given and genre of routine (if known).
1. Participation in mandatory competitions of Vibe’s choosing. You will be notified in the fall of the dates and locations of the competitions. Competition fees apply. (group, solo fees, etc.) While it is not mandatory for you to stay the entire length of the competition, we ask that you be at the competition for as long as possible to support all the Pulse Members. No one wants to perform on stage with only a few people in the audience cheering them on.
2. Participation in ONE convention of Vibe’s choosing. You will be notified in the fall of the date and location. It will most likely be a 2 day convention. Convention fees apply. (the cost of the convention)
3. Purchasing all costumes necessary for your routines.
4. Staying current on monthly tuition including Pulse fees. If you withdraw from the Pulse without prior written approval from Vibe, you are still responsible for YOUR FULL YEAR TUITION for the remainder of the year. The year is September through June.
5. Most solo routines will take approx. 10-15 hours (give or take depending on age) to learn and clean over the course of the year. Choreographer rates vary from $25-$50/per hour. You will pay your choreographer directly, and you are responsible to pay your choreographer at the time of each practice. Your teacher may still charge you a private fee if you cancel your private within 24 hours. Unfortunately, Personal Profit Account funds cannot be used for this.
Please take into consideration the extra cost involved if you choose to do a solo or duo for competition.
