(Acro classes will NOT be in the recital. We will hold a parent showcase at Vibe on June 6th, 2026.

The recital will include two identical shows! This gives every family the opportunity to enjoy the performance from great seats, and the students love getting to perform twice and wear their costumes again.    Participation in both shows is mandatory for all performers. This ensures a consistent and exciting experience for every audience and dancer. For the second show, if your performer only appears in the first half of the program, you are welcome to leave after intermission. For either show, if your dancer is only in the second half of the program, they do not need to be back in the dressing room until intermission. ( we will give you an approximate time) We can’t wait to celebrate all the students’ hard work on stage—twice!

MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSAL!!
All dancers must attend dress rehearsal to perform on Sunday! This full costume, hair, and makeup rehearsal ensures a smooth show. We know it’s a long day, but it’s essential for an amazing performance.  Bring quiet activities and non-sticky snacks (clear liquids only) for backstage. Thank you for supporting your dancer—they’ve worked hard all year to shine on stage!

*NO DANCERS OR PARENTS IN THE AUDITORIUM DURING DRESS REHEARSAL

*ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE IN GOOD STANDING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SHOW

COSTUMES
Recital costume fee: $75 per routine due on December 5th

✅ Costume Check
Please double-check all costumes, accessories, shoes, and tights before arriving, after the
dress rehearsal, and after Sunday’s show. Keep everything together in a labeled container or bag with your child’s name.

*You may leave all your dancers’ costumes overnight at the school. However, please remember to bring your makeup and hair supplies with you to do at home so you can arrive completely ready on Sunday.

🎟️ Recital Tickets
Advance tickets are on sale at Vibe Performing Arts, May 3–June 11, for $20 each.
Tickets at the door are $22. Reserved seating – each ticket includes an assigned seat. Every person in a seat needs a ticket; children sitting on laps do not. Dancers: If your dancer will watch the show after performing, they’ll need a free dancer ticket to reserve a seat. Please request one when purchasing.

NEW - VERY IMPORTANT!!
🎭 Dancer Attendance
Dancers must stay in the dressing room during their half of the show. For the second show, those not in the second half may leave at intermission. The exception to this is Pre Dance, Next Step, and Pre Hip-Hop. Dancers 6 years and younger may leave the dressing room when their last dance is finished, but must come back for the curtain call. This policy is to ensure that we don't miss your dancer when it is their turn to line up, and we line up 6-7 numbers before their scheduled time. You don't want your dancer to miss their time on stage!

All dancers stay at the school (dressing room or audience) until the end of the first show for the curtain call—a favorite moment for the kids! We will do a curtain call during the second show as well, but attendance for that is optional.

👯 Dressing Room Guidelines
Young dancers need a parent/guardian in the dressing room — female dancers with female guardians, male dancers with male guardians. Separate rooms will be provided, with a neutral waiting area if needed. Vibe staff will gather dancers 6–7 routines before their number so parents can return to the audience. If your dancer has multiple routines, you may come back to help with changes, then return to your seat.

GENERAL INFORMATION

ALL DANCERS MUST PARTICIPATE IN BOTH SHOWS.
We will be doing a curtain call this year. That means at the very end of the show, after the finale.
ALL dancers will return to the stage and take a bow so family and friends can cheer them on! We would like 100% participation for the
first show
. If you are only in the first half, please plan to stay for the second half so your dancer has another opportunity to be on stage!

💫RECITAL FEE

A $50 recital fee (posted April 15) will be added to May tuition. This includes a t-shirt, medal, and digital download of both shows. DVDs/Blu-rays are available for purchase separately.

🎶 Practice
Please encourage your dancer to practice regularly. We’ll email a video and music link for their routine. At the studio, dancers will perform for each other and practice stage entrances and exits to build confidence.

🩰 Emergency Kit
Pack an emergency kit with: Baby wipes or makeup remover, Baby powder, Safety pins, Clear nail polish, Band-Aids, Extra tights, Tide stick, Hair ties, bobby pins, and hairspray

🥕 Snacks
Send only non-messy snacks, such as crackers, energy bars, apples, carrots, or string cheese. Water only—no sticky drinks, juice, or chocolate. Avoid foods that could stain costumes or contain nuts.

👧 Pre-Dance, Next Step & Pre-Hip Hop (Ages 3–6)
A parent/guardian must stay with these dancers in the dressing room until staff collect them 6–7 numbers before performing. After their routine, dancers are returned to the dressing room and may leave or stay to watch. Please return before the curtain call at the end of the show. (Curtain call is optional for the second show.)

👯 Ages 7 & Up
Parentsmay use discretion about staying in the dressing room. Dancers must dress themselves and behave responsibly. Parents helping with costume changes may move between dressing rooms and the audience. Anyone staying backstage does not need a ticket.
All dancers must remain in the dressing room for their half of the show. ❓
